Welcome to the Merfi pilot
Your clinic invited your family to help test Merfi — a comfort companion that gives kids a gentle heads-up before everyday transitions. Getting started takes about 5 minutes. Here's exactly how it works and what we'll ask of you.
1.What we'll ask of you
We want to be upfront so you can decide if now is the right time. The pilot starts with the app only — this builds the "before" picture we measure everything against.
The one thing that matters most
Log 30 transitions in the app within your first two weeks to earn your Merfi device.
That's a handful of quick taps a day — each log takes about 10 seconds (add an activity like a meal, school, or bedtime, then rate how the change went, 1–10). Hit 30 within two weeks and we'll send your agreement and ship your device for Phase 2. If that feels like too much right now, it's completely okay to sit this round out.
2.How it works

Fill in the short form with the clinic code your coordinator gave you. This puts you on the pilot list and unlocks your app download links.

Download the Merfi app
Install on iPhone (TestFlight) or Android (Play test). Your email has to be on our tester list first — the form above takes care of that.

Create your account with your clinic code
Open the app, tap Sign up, type your clinic code exactly, and accept the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

Log transitions — aim for 30 in two weeks
Add your child's daily activities and rate each transition. The app shows a progress bar toward your goal.

Get your device (Phase 2)
Once you reach the goal, we email your participation agreement to sign, then ship your Merfi device with a Phase 2 guide.
3.Get started
Takes about a minute. We'll add you to the tester list and email you if anything's needed.

4.The two phases
Just the app
You log your child's daily transitions and rate how each one goes. This baseline is what everything is measured against — and it's how you earn your device.

After 30 logged transitions, your Merfi arrives. At each transition it gives a visual countdown, a gentle beep, and a soft vibration — a friendly heads-up that change is coming.

Where do I get my clinic code?
Your clinic coordinator gives it to you — it usually looks like TWCT-1. If your invite link filled it in above, it's already correct. Can't find it? Ask your coordinator or email us.
What counts as a "transition"?
Any change in your child's day — finishing a meal, leaving for school, starting a bath, heading to bed. You add the activity in the app and give the change a quick 1–10 rating. That's one transition.
Why 30 transitions before a device?
The pilot compares how transitions go before and after the device. A solid two weeks of "before" data makes those results trustworthy — and it shows us your family is set up and ready for Phase 2.
Is my child's information safe?
Yes. The app never stores your child's name — their data is kept under a private account ID. See our Privacy Policy, including our COPPA commitments for children under 13, and our Terms of Use.
The download link says I don't have access.
